A Study of pattern of Household Savings – with special reference to Gorakhpur District

Savings represent excess of current income over current expenditure, which is reserved for future use and may, therefore, serve to create enduring wealth. Savings hold a pivotal position in the lives of all individuals. According to J. M. Keynes, “Savings are the sum of difference between the money incomes of individuals and their money expenditure on current consumptions”.
